For what it's worth, any "post collecting" that happens for Grindaels posts or any other posts, I highly recommend keeping offline copies available, as I'm not optimistic about saving the database of this site at this time.
What is it going to take to fix this board? Shades can’t do it all. What is needed?
So, let's make some back up copies. Who can do that?

Grindael reached out to me several times on Facebook and I regret never getting back with him.
This one really hurts.
"One of the hardest things for me to accept is the fact that Kevin Graham has blonde hair, blue eyes and an English last name. This ugly truth blows any arguments one might have for actual white supremacism out of the water. He's truly a disgrace." - Ajax

If you can tell me how to do that, I can do it for his Paradise writings. The only way I can think of is to store them on my own computer or portable hard drive or USB stick. Or I suppose they could be stored on the temporary board that we have?
Not very tech savvy. Open to suggestions!

I'm still working on it. Evidently the fundraiser that was posted to Facebook is no longer accepting donations. My contact is getting in touch with the family.

So, the bad news is that there is no longer any formal fundraiser going on. I think we need to focus our efforts elsewhere. To cite one thing that has been mentioned: gathering grindael's best work into a kind of memorial thread.
This brings me to another topic that is being discussed elsewhere: the securing of this board's data. Those of us who value our participation here and the many memories, great conversations, and friends we have met here might be very concerned about all of this being lost.
I wish our situation here were more stable and easier to navigate. When Yahoo groups stopped storing the data of its members, I was able to get a download of all of the data from a group I co-owned back in the early 2000s. It was my pre-MBD board. Part of my history. It meant very much to me to be able to rescue the data of posts from such people as Lavina Fielding Anderson, Wayne C. Booth, and many others.
That was meaningful to me, but MormonDiscussions.com is much more meaningful yet. I have now been here longer, and the conversation has been more sustained and interesting. It was here where we once interacted with more apologists. It was here where my transition from active LDS to former LDS occurred. It was here where I organized Kishapalooza I and II. It is here where I met and interacted with friends like gramps and grindael who have moved on from this life.
This is too important, guys. This is a community. We know each other. A number of us have met IRL. We can't let this slip away from us without a community effort to preserve it.

Are Kishapoloozas concerts?

Thank you for the update, Kish. I wish there were something more that we could do to support the family. I will collect up links to his writings from Paradise. Post a thread with those and keep the list on my computer for safe keeping as we go forward. If we go forward.

No, they were just me visiting Utah. Kind of underwhelming, I know, but we had a lot of fun getting together as a group.
Are there any plans germinating for a K-III?

The goal for Johnny's fundraiser has been raised to $5000. Evidently his widow had felt bashful about asking for an appropriate amount that would actually cover his funeral expenses, so she asked for far too little. Feel free to donate with confidence. You can choose to do so anonymously, and that works, as one member of the board has already learned.
