Cinepro, he was questioned on his 4% GDP, and he responded by saying he thinks we'll get to 5-6% GDP. The 8% comment was a "why not" bit of craziness that can be downgraded from promise to something like a promise of promise, but the context of his comment on 5-6% was him indicating that this is a reasonable projection should he be elected.

"he just proposed ban on entries into the country from countries currently heavily influenced or controlled by ISIS and other terrorist organizations." Well, this totally isn't true...

Didn't the Trump campaign modify his anti Muslim immigration stance to this at some point? He speaks in rough politically incorrect terms at times. He doesn't hate people for being Muslim or Hispanic the way many try to paint him. He simply puts Americans first.

How many fewer illegal immigrants are there due to the physical construction of the border wall?

A lot fewer than if Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush were in office now.

How much money will Mexico have paid us for the wall?

I think he's going to reconsider a lot of foreign aid money that is doled out each year.

Foreign aid to Mexico isn't magnanimous. It's meant to influence the policies of nations we give it to. It is the diplomatic equivalent of bribe money. Turning it off doesn't automatically help the US. It quite possibly hurts US interests depending on the policy aims of the aide.

A lot fewer than if Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush were in office now.

You have zero evidence of this.

Muslims and Hispanics are Americans. Religious freedom is a core American value. A religious test on immigration could not be more fundamentally un-American.

I don't think religious beliefs that say Allah commands us to kill people who don't convert Islam should be protected under religious freedom.

Which sect of Christianity currently preaches and does this? Are you referring to Mormonism's blood atonement? Do you believe in that?

CCC is a devout Mormon. This is a sarcastic mocking of Ajax's false implication that being Muslim means having a desire to kill people who don't convert to Islam.

That does kind of describe some versions of the Apocalypse, but IIRC God did the killing. Funny, because I thought after the flood he was going to give that genocide gig up, but hey, got to have a grand finale.

The Bible in Numbers 31. Israel is commanded to kill all the men women and children except "the women who have not known a man" So the worshippers of Yahweh get their virgins in this life.

Perhaps you are right. I realize that it has not been a belief of Islam to kill everybody who does not convert. I also realize Christianity and Islam share a religious cultural background that has included religious warfare. That background presents both groups with problems of interpretation in a pluralistic world. Islam does have more dangerous rules against leaving Islam. They will likely continue to have some adjustments just like Christianity has had to make adjustments about its attitude toward the inquisition.

A particular military action in a war three thousand years ago hardly constitutes a core doctrine in Christianity.

You might argue more strongly by hunting down the rules of holy war in Deuteronomy (though they also refer to certain conflicts three thousand years ago and Deuteronomic laws have never been accepted as binding on Christianity)

Right.

There needs to be a comparison on how many MORE illegals are getting deported four years from now, and how much more money gets allocated to border control specifically building and maintaining walls and the current fences.

Also, Trump supporters are expecting big changes in the law when it comes to gun control laws, gay marriage and planned parenthood. Oh, and don't forget coal production and coal miner jobs.

It would be nice to have some data on hate crimes and hate group membership numbers as well and see how that all plays out.

We need some facts to compare how much has changed after four years of Trumpmania.

Make Amercia white great again!

I said currently.

This is a sarcastic mocking of Ajax's false implication that being Muslim means having a desire to kill people who don't convert to Islam.

There are sects of Islam that do believe in killing the infidels or nonMuslims right now in 2016. You know that. Anyone who was alive on 9/11/2001 knows that. But you choose to twist my words to say I meant all Muslims the same way the media equates LDS with FLDS.

Islam has even less structure or hierarchy than Christianity. You can't say all Muslims but to deny that there are radical sects of Islam can be a fatal mistake. Who would want to bring these people into our country? This is what Trump meant when he said our leaders are either stupid or worse simply don't have our best interest in mind.

You can go by whatever number you want. I'll only point out that his official plan cites the 4% prediction. If you feel an off-the-cuff hypothetical is a more valid standard, then hold him to it.

Not so much. A Wahabist is different than a Sunni who are different than a Shia who are different than a Taliban. But all four are variations of Islam. There are other different sects within Islam. Most are entirely peaceful, and have no more desire to kill the infidel than Christians.

There are radicals, and death cults within Christianity as well. The IRA, Branch Davidians, The Jim Jones group, to name a few more recent ones. The NAZIS were Christian and we all know what they did. The LDS while peaceful have Mountain Meadows Massacre to contend against. Christians have been killing other Christians and the infidel for two millennia.

Sorry, but Jim Jones and "The NAZIS" were not "Christian".

I don't think religious beliefs that say Allah commands us to kill people who don't convert Islam should be protected under religious freedom.

There is a fairly well established and supported secular standard in US law that places a barrier between religious belief and criminal activity in the name of religious belief. It's remarkable in some ways in that the US has long established that belief does not justify an action that would otherwise be against the law of the land regardless of the belief system. See Reynolds v. US for example.

So, basically what you fear is ridiculous. People of all faiths are entitled to believe the most horrendous of fates await their fellow human beings, and that some divine being is going to show up any day and make the oceans red with the blood of <insert divine entitity>'s enemies. They can believe drawing certain pictures, performing certain medical procedures, using certain herbs or medicines are good/bad/necessary. But insofar as a belief becomes action and that action is against the law, the person will be judged and prosecuted according to the law.
