Interesting how still today there are wards and stakes where women are not allowed to give the last talk or say the closing prayer in SM.

What nonsense!

Like this can be justified or rationalized by anyone! :-( It is clearly not doctrinal nor is it a church policy. It is just local leaders who have yet to understand women are human beings.

From my rogue ward: the only speaker during Christmas Eve sacrament meeting was a woman. The closing prayer was given by a young woman.

We've known we're going to hell for at least 20 years: we still have our picture of Christ hanging in the chapel, despite numerous attempts by the former SP to get it taken down. Since the current SP is one of the bishops who refused to take it down in the past, I suspect we'll have it hanging there for at least another 5-10 years.
