Im as cynical as they come with regard to the Mormon church and its uninspired, opportunistic leaders and this in no way undoes decades of bigotry or homophobia on the part of the leaders of the Mormon church but I see this as nothing but positive. Yes, they were dragged kicking and screaming into the present and, yes, this in response to political pressure and the changing attitudes of younger Mormons that are becoming increasingly disinterested in Mormonism but, hey, I see this as a good move.
