This is how brilliant last night's show was. We have the hosts of a show that may or may not be genuine, who were trolling Dr. Shades's use of the word "oven" while Dr. Shades was attempting to defend the host's use of the word.

Confused? Well, that is the genius MormonTalk.

And no one has a more gullible face than the dark-haired kid. (What’s his name?) if you’re going to say such ridiculously infantile stuff, it is imperative you have a baby face so you can pull it off.

And although I empathize with Dr. Shades’ attempt to explain how the “oven” thing started, there is a significant part of my dark, cold soul that loves, loves LOVES how good EverybodyWangChung is at in-the-moment sabotage.

Behold thou the genius of MormonTalk!

If you find that state-of-affairs entertaining, then you'll enjoy Carson's book even more. It's essentially MormonTalk distilled and in print.

It's great to see so many fans of Mormon Talk here! I agree with so many of you about it being the greatest example of Poe's law. Brett and Carson are so amazing that I occassionally question whether they are for real despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I hope you have all watched Jesus Chatline which I'm sure was the inspiration - it was hilarious!

I go on about soy and cannabis but I do use both daily!

ANNOUNCEMENT: "MormonTalk" has been cancelled this evening. Apparently out of 14 submissions to "Talent Talk," only three of them DIDN'T contain pornography. :-(

What kind of pornography? When I was at BYU, I auditioned for a major show and performed a classical ballet number. After I was selected, someone sidled up to me and whispered that my classic, gorgeous tutu, hand made for me, was “immodest” because the classic strapless neckline of my costume had skin colored straps over my shoulders (just like every other classical ballet costume of the day.)

I had to go to the drug store and get black hair tie to hook over the straps so that my “porn shoulders” were covered. At least, in theory.

So, did anyone submit “porn” like that?

Oh my god, I had no idea you were so revealing.

I'm sure Heavenly Father closed his eyes during the dance.

Jesus probably peeked.

Everyone knows Abinidi going to the people in disguise meant he went dressed in religious costume that the people of the Maya would recognize meant he had authority. It's one of the biggest bullseye's in the entire book. Otherwise it would be dumb to say he went in disguise but then declared himself right away...
