Loran, let us hope that the corruption you have identified within FAIR and NMI will not prevent them from appreciating the concern of this stalwart duo. Image

As you point out, it does FAIR and NMI a disservice to be without the chainsaw and code detection service that Will provided before Ms. Jack and Kevin Graham blew the whistle on all the toxic barrels bobbing in the swamp.

Yeah, or you could go to Japan, where they think it most certainly originated, or Korea, where there are alternate arguments, or China, where their are more arguments still.

None of the above are Okinawa, but just for fun, let's say for the sake of argument that you're right. If what you have now decided on were hypothetically the case, then there is no basis to unequivocally assert---as you did---that a martial art system headquarted in South Korea with disputed origins "is a style of Okinawan Karate."

And if you paused for a moment to try and think about something coherently, maybe while you were asserting that Tang Soo Do definitely is an Okinawan karate style, it would be reasonable to infer that it would have borrowed its katas from other styles of Okinawan karate. But instead of thinking that through, we get, "They do not have the exact same katas, you sub-nuclear moron!" You know, right before admitting you don't know anything about Tang Soo Do, but you read something about it untold years ago that you vaguely remember.

You know, Droopy, it looks exactly like you are so frantically desperate to prove that you are right, while your enemies cannot be acknowledged to know anything, that you are relying entirely on Google and Wikipedia to find banal bits of trivia about things you have no experience in, and declaring anything you can't find through Google or Wikipedia to be non-existent. And what's even more pathetic is it's not about anything that even matters---even to the topic of that thread. Nor does it have anything to do with any actual proficiency in martial arts, which by your own admission you have not been actually involved in for decades.

Most normal people are not traumatized by acknowledging there are things they don't know about (especially trivial things), and most normal people don't feel compelled to pretend (unconvincingly) to be a self-taught polymath in virtually every field of human endeavor (see also: Daniel Peterson).

There may be another living person who is more insecure than you, but it is difficult to imagine how that would be possible. I must say that if your persona is the result of adherence to the alleged restored gospel of Jesus Christ, that belief system is woefully ineffective.

This is a classic specimin of Liberalis stupidicus believus anythingus, otherwise known as a "leftist" or, by the misnomer "liberal." There are many varieties, but this is the most common form.

As to what its doing to the girl, you'll have to read up on your Kinsey or Judith Butler.

TMI, Droopy. TMI.

I think it is time for you to put down the keyboard and go hug your wife.

Look, Bluff, just keep lying for the cause. As the song says, "you can justify it in the end." Both Will and Hamblin, as well as others, are well aware that Jack's initiation of the "misogyny" meme was only the beginning of a under-the-radar smear campaign that was done out of public view.

Its pretty much out in the open now, as far as the increasing number of victims who have come under the withering defamatory assaults of the posse, and have first hand knowledge of the dynamics involved, have now attested.

Who am I going to believe, MSJack? You? Scratch? or Will, Peterson, Hamblin et al?

That's an easy one.

I was not aware the George Pal's The Time Machine was "porn."

Oh, and by the way, I'm still waiting for a definition of the genre of "kung fu porn" that Darth claims I've been watching all my life. I must have missed that, even given all the drive-in all-nighters I went to as a youth.

To complete apostates (traitors to the gospel and their covenants) riven with frothing hatred, bigotry, and mindless, self justificational animosity toward the Church of Jesus Christ, who have sold their souls, minds, and ethical bearings to the golden calves they see in the mirror each morning, it probably appears that way.

Says the moral reprobate who supports crude misogyny and lies over the truth. If you ever had any moral standing, it's long gone by now.

I can feel your anger, Droopy. Good! The hate is swelling in you now. In time you will call me "Master."

I am defenseless. Take your religious right fanatical Mopologist weapon. Use it! Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards apostasy will be complete!

You've hitched your wagon to William Schryver. I read that whole damn thread from MsJack and saw that the dude has serious problems with misogyny. Plus he's a lying douchebag. Even if being an ex-Mormon were a bad thing I'd rather be that than a moral pygmy like you and Schryver.

As one Latter-day Saint I respect put it, "Never concede to evil…. When we concede to evil, even in a small way, we feed it, and it grows stronger." You have thrown in the towel and embraced evil. Ironically you have done it to defend what you see is the truth.

If there was such a thing as a job application for "Exmo Anti-Mormon Internet Critic," theses would serve as excellent minimum qualifications.

That and a black belt in Trulkor:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trul_khor

Though in this one case, I admit, in some 40 years of studying the Asian martial arts, I had never heard of "Trulkor," after doing a bit of research, it actually appears that while the art exists, its origins are shrouded in mystery, and its connection to Ninjistu appears purely speculative in nature, with arguments, primarily grounded in legend and oral tradition, as the only links.

http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums ... hp?t=33985

the only links a Google search brings up are to an esoteric branch of "tantric" Yoga.

This entire debate on the nature of Asian martial arts should buried Darth's credibility on virtually any subject far deeper than the standard six feet.

I think his theories have merit, to one degree or another, I think they should be allowed a serious, critical hearing in the marketplace of ideas, and I see not a shred of evidence that either he or any other public apologist of any note has ever lied or misrepresented the evidence. The long and sordid attempt by MDD posse to insure that this hearing never takes place at all has been quite telling for what it bespeaks about the BofA's critics, less about apologetic arguments in its favor.

In summary:

1. Five years of kung fu lessons in the disco era and a few classes here and there in the 80's constitute "40 years" of martial arts training.

2. Droopy emphatically insisted that I was making something up because he couldn't find it on Google or Wikipedia---a thing that I said was obscure and generally unknown.

3. In his frantic Googling for banal bits of trivia about things he has no experience in, Droopy has found evidence that the thing I was talking about, which he vociferously asserted to be something I made up, does exist, and is reputed to have the connection to ninjutsu I said it did.

4. Droopy's frantic Googling for banal trivia about things he has no experience in strongly suggests the depth and substance of his "40 years of study of martial arts."

5. This is all following his "sub-nuclear moron" comment about what I said regarding Tang Soo Do, which Droopy after-the-fact admitted he did not know anything about.

6. And all of this supposedly buries MY credibility.

I know you would like to destroy me, Droopy. I can feel your anger. It makes you stronger, gives you focus.

I am defenseless. Only your hatred can destroy me. Strike me down in your anger! Only then will you have the power to overcome the apostates! Only the power of the dark side can destroy me! Use it!
