One last post before I leave. Contrary to your insulting characterization of me, gdemetz, I am aware that the word priesthood is used in the NT. I have never said that it isn't. What I disagree with is the Mormon Church's false use of a priesthood that by "using" they defame the the only person, Jesus, worth of holding it. You are certainly not putting yourself in the same category are you, gedemtz? All believers are a "royal priesthood". You cannot provide one reference in scripture where it says SPECIFICALLY that anyone has been ordained to the priesthood and that that priesthood is either the Melchizadec or the Levitical Priesthood. Being ordained to something is not exclusive to being ordained to a priesthood...even events can be ordained, and the word presbytry doesn't always mean priesthood either as any good dictionary will clearly show. Specific references, please, not mere allusions.

Albion, you are all mixed up, as usual. First of all, the scriptures do state that Christ is the High Priest over us, and therefore their is nothing demeaning to Christ that we claim! Will the priests mentioned in Revelation be demeaning Christ?!? That being said, it is also obvious that there are many other priests as you now finally admit! If there were no priesthood holders in the NT after Christ's ministry, then there would have been no purpose for Paul to write that no one should take this Honor, or priesthood, upon himself except he was called of God as Aaron was called!!! How was Aaron called?!? The 28th chapter of Exodus explains that he and his sons were called by prophesy (as a revelation from God to Moses). Moses then conferred the priesthood upon Aaron and his sons! Bishop Timothy received his priesthood in the same manner as Paul clearly stated! Also, the other priests that will be ordained, as Revelation states, will be ordained in the same manner!

Also, it is you who are making wrong evangelical non Biblical assumptions! There is no verse in the Bible that ever states that all the saints including women have the priesthood as you claim!! That is just more evangelical hogwash!!!
