I'm not an Egyptologist, and probably the prophet is not either. Why don't you ask FAIR and see what they tell you?
You're not an Egyptologist? I know that, silly. And neither are the guys at FAIR other than John Gee and I already know what he has to say about the writing contained in the Facsimile No. 3. He reads them the same as do other Egyptologists. They all read pretty much the same exact thing. That's as far as John Gee's authority on the subject goes. He has no authority to represent the church and discuss the false readings of Joseph Smith because that is outside of his field of expertise. That job remains only for the President of the church. Not by FARMS. Not by school teachers at BYU. Not by apologists who think they have ideas. It's for the President of the church to comment on the so-called revelations of Mormon scripture. And we can all see how the President of the church has shrunk from his duty because he is afraid of being exposed for not coming up with answers that will satisfy anyone.
The prophet isn't an Egyptologist but he's supposed to be a translator and he can at least act like Joe Smith and pretend to read a little Goddamn Egyptian. I don't want to hear these f*****g excuses about how the prophet doesn't read Egyptian. He's a Goddamn translator, seer, and revelator! Let him act the role.
It seems you have nothing to add. The Facsimile No. 3 beat the apologetic s*** out of you. Poor you. Bruised and beaten by the critics. Mormon scripture is proven to be b***s*** and there isn't a damn thing you can say or do to save your Facsimile No. 3. How's your testimony of Facsimile No. 3 Explanations? Have you lost that testimony? If not, then bear it, please.
I'm waiting to hear you testimony of those Explantions, Mormon.

It is amusing that the Church's one Egyptologist has been shown to have specifically lied about the Book of Abraham and was demonstrably engaged in deceit to try and hoodwink people into believing it.
