I don't know how anyone can criticize the personal life choices of a woman who experienced serious trauma as a teen in any meaningful way, in a way that says anything about anything -- let alone experiencing the trauma and then becoming a public figure over it. It doesn't matter what her religion was or wasn't at that age, how wealthy her family was or how fanatically religious they were. I don't see how putting E.S. down scores any points against anything at all. Jesus. I almost feel guilty scoring points against Joseph Smith over this incident, as there is no difference whatsoever between the most sacred acts of Joseph Smith and the most diabolical acts of E.S.'s captors.

Time for people to man up. Taking cheap shots against a woman whose life issues, whatever they may be, result from crimes against her as a teen, are inappropriate.
