Yes, that would have been the proper response for someone who really didn't mean it that way and was genuinely sorry. But Droopy has already made it clear that he views the female posters on this site as the equivalent of Hugh Hefner's girls here:

As I have no explained in detail, the original meaning and intent of the lyrics in question, you are now exposed as a liar and slanderer who is continuing to lie and defame with full malice aforethought. You know you are doing it, you know it has no basis, but you continue to do it anyway.
