Go figure.

You guys just make it up as you go along, doncha?

Definition of intuit
intuited; intuiting; intuits
transitive verb
: to know, sense, or understand by intuition

Definition of intuition
1 : quick and ready insight
2 a : immediate apprehension or cognition
b : knowledge or conviction gained by intuition
c : the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference

compare and contrast with EA's usual verbose "reasoning" - all of which was a stark contrast to the requested "intuit".
thanks for stopping by, feel free to provide the requested examples for the: "Bad things happen when one relies on loose intuited ideas about who deserves to be recognized as having rights and who does not."

Epistemology according to subbie. Like a Mormon sacrament meeting talk given by a young teen.

"The Bishop asked me to talk about faith, which the dictionary defines as..."

It is no more a given that one's intuition results in an accurate understanding than it is that one's reason will always result in true knowledge.

Nobody "intuits" the opening of the Declaration of Independence. That's why the concepts it is is expressing didn't exist hundreds of years prior to its publication. You don't even intuit it, as you've taken it to mean something other than what it does and in doing so have adopted a position huge swathes of Americans who've been raised to venerate the document find counterintuitive.

What you're trying to do is bury your position in a document that everyone is supposed to like so that you don't have to defend it and you can paint people who disagree with you in a negative light.
