Don't worry, it will crash sometime in the future. Now that regulations to help prevent such crashes are being removed, the crash will be hastened.

Yesterday +298:
Dow jumps nearly 300 points, retakes 25,000 as U.S.-China trade tensions recede

What’s driving the market?

The mood was upbeat after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said over the weekend that the Trump administration would delay implementation of tariffs on Chinese goods and “put the trade war on hold” while working out details of a deal between the countries.

And then Today -178:

U.S. stocks end lower as traders weigh Trump trade comments

Stocks close lower as trade, geopolitical worries resurface

But according to you nothing Trump does can affect the Stock Market. We should be at 27,000 given the trajectory we were set on through 8 years of Obama. Trump screws us for the first half of 2018 with China trade war BS and suddenly you're excited about a 1% gain on a single day?

Down over 100 points so far today and then there is this:

How this global stock-market selloff shows that Trump still calls the tune

DOW has dropped again, nearly -500 points. Still no wealth creation after six months of "record" tax cuts.

To the degree that the drop was caused at least partially by fears about Italy, how would that be related to the tax cuts?

Italy is headed for new elections, and investors worry the result could throw the European Union into turmoil. Investors soured on Italy's debt, demanding higher yields in return for taking on added risk.

The tension in Italy spread to US markets. In Wall Street's worst-case scenario, Italy, the third-largest economy in the European bloc, would vote to leave the euro.

Do we have to go through this again? I didn't say the drop was related to tax cuts. I'm saying the tax cuts didn't do a damn thing for the stock market or the economy for that matter, as promised. Stay focused. We were told profusely from November 2016-January 2018 that Trump's election is responsible for the stock market breaking records.

While I fault Trump for a lot of things, I do think that the market reacted positively to the results of the 2016 election. That included the Trump talk of tax reform and spending programs as well as the Republican party having full control of the purse strings. It's just that all of the potential outcomes got priced into the market early on based on anticipation. The actual actions involved with tax reform, an infrastructure package, regulation reductions, etc., etc., were all part of January's stock market highs. And given the speculative nature of the market's behavior, there is almost nothing left to add fuel to economic engine while every dose of reality is more likely to cause the market to dip because it fails to achieve expectations. It's not uncommon to hear or read an economist speculate that we are in uncharted territory where we've seen the government juicing a relatively good economy with all of the tricks usually reserved for bad economic environments. Good times.
