Sealings found in Ancient Temple

Post by _moksha »

This news story seems more appropriate for the MD&D forum than for here, but there is no way to get it to them through their impenetrable shield of banning. Too bad since they could point to it as one more item of proof. It is also a shame Dr. Hamblin is not there to help decipher any acrostic writings found on these Temple sealings.

This treasure trove contains hundreds of sealed images of the Council of Gods, which shows how strongly religious beliefs shaped everyday life.

Talk about a game changer!

Excavation director, Dr. Engelbert Winter said, "Apart from the architecture, small finds from the surrounding area also point to the existence of a church, such as the fragments of a marble table or the mentioning of a deacon attested by an inscription."

Sounds like they were preparing to pass the Sacrament trays.

If you think those ancient ceilings are something, get a load of this one from the Temple of Baal in Palmyra:
