Someone sent me a spreadsheet that shows a medical condition over time. It has test results on it and that sort of thing. I need to know how to convert it so I can post it online to a forum. The forum itself looks nothing like MormonDiscussions.com. It only has an option to upload photos. I tried using that feature and it doesn't accept the document.

Is there a way to do that? The only info I can provide about the document is that it's a spread sheet, it comes up in Open Office Writer and before the image opens, it says DOCX. If that helps to know at all...

Thanks in advance if you can help.

ETA: No hurry. I'll soon be out on the "back 40" picking up wood and gone for a bit. Lucky me! ;-)

Perhaps as a screenshot that can be saved as a jpeg file.

Convert it to a Google Doc spreadsheet, make it public and post the link.

In Windows, I use a very handy freeware program called PickPic. Great tool for capturing and converting images.

I tried to use the instructions that Shades and Dr.Cam gave me a while back. This involves using Paint. I tried and Paint won't accept the document at all. I have no blessed idea what I'm doing. I'll check back to see if there are any more ideas.

Have to go do wood. Always a party.

The smart penguin may have the easiest solution.

Open your spread sheet on your screen and zoom in on the part that is important, filling your screen. This is to ensure you have the highest possible resolution by eliminating excess visual stuff.

Hit the print screen key on your keyboard (PrtScn). Usually you will see no indication that anything has happened, but it has put an image of your computer screen into your clipboard (memory).

Open your paint program and choose "New" from the file menu. Once open, paste the clipboard image (control/ v) onto it. Then give it a file name and save it as a JPG file.

Let me know how it goes.

Import it into google docs. Make it public. Share the link.

SH...I'm not going to make public someone's medical file. Homemade or not. It's just not done. Thanks, I'll keep your tip for future use.

That's because you can't open the document WITH Paint. You have to paste a screenshot INTO Paint, as I clearly explained the first time.

Quasimodo didn't say anything different from what I originally said.

Quasimodo didn't say anything different from what I originally said.

But he said it differently.
