This is what really bugs me. The 911 operator should be fired. They were told twice they thought the gun was fake and she did not relay this information to police. This was vital information that may have saved the life of this kid.

The right to bear BB guns does not take precedence over the police mandate to use deadly force whether it is needed or not. The police had no way of knowing if this so called juvenile was advocating the destruction of private property, or trampling on States Rights, or creating another Benghazi crisis. They did what they thought was prudent. Sometimes you need to shoot first and ask questions later.
