Re: DC Comics Jesus
I'm confused. Little Nipper says he "accept(s) a literal interpretation" of the Bible, yet goes on to demonstrate that he reads the Bible in an allegorical (i.e. a non literal) manner, and that he is free to throw in all sorts of speculations and insinuations that aren't literally in the Bible. Because Steve.
“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

The Bible is full of inconsistencies and contradictions. No need for Little Nipper to be consistent under those circumstances. It helps to think out of the box to make sense of it all.
