How Odd is This?

Post by _Kittens_and_Jesus »

I was BiC and my parents remained married until my father died a few years ago. They were both very conservative TBMs. After my father passed away my mother started dating and married a man about 6 months after she became a widow.

This guy is liberal and really preachy. Most of the ward are conservative yet soft spoken. He has the typical Utah Mormon Holier Than Thou routine down to a tee, he's in the Elders quorum presidency and everyone in the ward seems to respect him.

I am currently going through a divorce and am living with them. I often deal with their laundry as I am working on mine and that of the two children I raise.

He doesn't even own one pair of garments and never attends the temple.

How is this guy in the priesthood leadership?

Is this this new normal?
As soon as you concern yourself with the 'good' and 'bad' of your fellows, you create an opening in your heart for maliciousness to enter. Testing, competing with, and criticizing others weaken and defeat you. - O'Sensei
