Joseph Smith Jr. managed to accomplish two out of three (as far as we know, anyway).

Here is one more from Hitch:

Christopher Hitchens wrote:
Human decency is not derived from religion. It precedes it.

It's time to start the Dead Pool for Tommy "Let's all Eat some Pie" Monson.

My spot is December 21, at 04:30

Okay. ^This post^ definitely crosses the line.

Strongly suggest that it be removed - voluntarily or otherwise.

I agree. I think this poor old man deserves pity rather than mockery. He should no longer be forced to appear on public platforms.

Sure, the dead pool thing is in poor taste, but let's not forget Monson's policies have led to LGBTQ suicides, shunning, and various other miseries visited upon Mormons, NOMs, ex-Mo's, and everything in between.

Why? As we all know "Death is part of the process by which our bodies become perfected" therefore wagering on a persons entrance into perfection is only befitting the stature of the man.

Pity!? No, condemnation is more appropriate. How many individuals have suffered under the falsehoods, lies, manipulations and evilness portrayed by the organization he represents and furthers.

OK. I've never been a Mormon, so I don't know how it feels to look back on Monson's active life from that point of view.

But I would say that the pathetic figure on the stage probably doesn't even remember who he is most of the time. I suspect we are not longer able to mock the Thomas Monson who may have done real harm - he has effectively dissolved away, and all there is left is a confused and scared remnant of a human personality in a sick body.

Is that remnant worth your condemnation?

By all means however condemn the conscious and completely aware members of the First Presidency who have allowed this degrading exhibition to take place.

Are they really Monson's policies, though? I think that he has been senile for quite a while now. I think that the policies you speak of were muscled through by others in the 12.

I agree with others that the death pool on Monson is in poor taste.

As someone who is Mormon, I completely agree with you.
