No sorry, wrong. The obvious setting is Shoshone falls, because - reasons.

The real secret is that behind the falls is a secret cavern filled with metal plates containing the history of the shoshone/Lamanites, the templar treasure, the Ark of the covenant, and a long winding subterranean route to Rivendell.

The waters of Ripliancum are described as large or to exceed all.

From the OP. But, if the writer had never been to or seen Niagara falls, then how would they know about it? The statement would refer only to the waters the writer had seen, and therefore only the largest body of water the writer had seen would qualify. This would mean that by definition, any body of water could be defined as "large or to exceed all."

QED.

bomgeography, take a class or something. You need to stand on the shoulders of giants in your research efforts; this random stuff where you have some idea without considering the entire world of research methodologies and logical thought is getting really, really old.

As real as Niagara as Ripliancum.

You're right!

But it doesn't mean what you think it means....that these places are readily available in the area that Joseph Smith lived is evidence of his fraud. Not evidence that a bunch of Hebrews migrated there, lived there, created civilisations of millions there, fought there and millions died there all without leaving a single trace or artefact....

Thanks for proving the Book of Mormon a fraud.
