Did you ever pass the sacrament and something happened during the prayer where everyone started laughing. One time Brother S. from the elders quorum started the prayer by yelling "O GOD THE ETERNAL FATHER" - everyone started laughing and we could not stop as we were passing the sacrament. Everyone in the ward was looking around with a curious look on their face - the terrible twelve year olds were up to something.

I once dropped the whole tray of water and it went all over the woman in front. That was hard not to laugh at.

Or who had a trouser tent while passing the sacrament?

One time as a teacher(14 year old for the no mos), we filled the tray bottoms with water. It was hilarious.

Another time we put sprite in place of water in the cups. 7 out of 10 partakers had initial shocks from the bubbly drink!

I don't ever remember really laughing passing the sacrament, as a Deacon. I was mostly a good boy as a Deacon, passing the sacrament.

Back in the early 1980s, they would pass the sacrament to the primary kids. There was always extra bread left over, which we would eat, of course. You can't blame us, we were staved! Especially on fast Sunday.

One time we were caught eating the leftover sacrament bread by a bishopric counselor. He told us it was sacrilegious to eat the leftover bread that had been blessed by the priesthood.

We were more discreet after that..

Really?

I do remember laughing after passing gas on the wooden pew that we Deacons sat on.. Oh man that was always a hoot rumbling the bench at the right moment when the entire chapel was silent! The wooded benches without cushions seemed to amplify the sound.

I guess that is one thing my boys should not miss.... but alas we all are exmos.

I still laugh when I pass the sacrament. We don't have many young men in our ward so us old guys get to do it a lot. When a little kid grabs a whole handful it still makes me laugh. I don't think there is anything sacreligious about laughter. And farting on the wooden bench will not get you thrown into outer darkness, in my book. Otherwise I would be on the right hand of Satan.

I used to regularly sprout wood just before it was time to pass the sacrament. Probably had something to do with the fact that church always made me sleepy.

The left over bread was the only thing that saved you on fast sunday.
