A couple months ago, old Rusty the Tin Man broke out a million dollars for medical supplies to send to china:
"The relief will include 220,000 respirator masks, 870 protective goggles and more than 6,500 protective coveralls to Shanghai."
Hopefully Exiled will have time to complete the fork. Either LB, a junior's junior must admit that Rusty did this only for show and personal publicity, or that the masks were needed and helped in the efforts, which implies more good of this kind can be done with money.
Money that the Church hordes like toilet paper.
Looks to me like you've identified the horns of a dilemma that defenders of the faith now find themselves on.
"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." The open house and dedication dates of the Rio de Janeiro Brazil Temple are postponed until large gatherings are deemed safe, the Church announced on Wednesday, March 18.
The open house was scheduled from April 17 through May 2, with the dedication on Sunday, May 17.
...then why go ahead with a building programme for new temples and new chapels?
“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

Which of the two is most inspired?

Yep, NelSatan sent a "SMALL MEASURE OF HELP" compared to what Alibaba's Ma did for the USA. It appears that China god loves people more than Mormon Man-god. This is a real lesson in sacrifice and blessings and proves Mormon Man-god is stingy and cruel!
