I'm going to guess that it's only theatrics meant to boost controversy--and therefore popularity and viewership.

You're not taking their threat to shut down the show seriously, are you?

I've been so busy this past month and missed so much of my favorite show. I will try to catch up over the next week. I see NNN is pissed at them on twitter so the last show must've been good.

Does anyone know why Monday's show is not archived?

Hmm. Is this not looking more and more like a “Jesus Chatline” wannabe?! Didn’t one of their final shows contain a threat to quit and a melt-down? Even the push for book sales concurrent with the shows is the same.

It looks like it’s over. Well, it was fun while it lasted. From their Twitter:

Thank you for all who watched Mormon Talk! We aired our final episode tonight, and are very grateful for those of you who tuned in regularly. Never be afraid to talk to those who are different from you. Faithfully, -Carson, and Brett

I was about to ask the same thing. Something must've REALLY pissed them off.

It's quite funny, considering how much Carson hyped his calling from God to found Mormon Talk in his book.

I came late to the party, so maybe I missed it, but was there ever any more discussion or explanation of when the two were lost in the canyon on a hiking trip? Also, who is Corey?

I know what made Carson so mad and perhaps the straw that broke the camel's back. One visitor in the chatroom called Carson out and told him just because he wrote a dumbassed book didn't mean he knew anything. Your book is stupid. Seeing Carson read that out loud and realize what it said he immediately clouded over. It almost made him cry. I think that was the straw that called the tune (to mix metaphors). He was entirely insulted. I dunno who the poster was, hadn't seen him/her on before.

I am guessing they cancelled the show because it finally dawned on them that the only people who are interested in talking about Mormonisn in an open environment are those no longer believe in it.

Philo, Carson is a character, he's not a believing Mormon. It's astonishing how many believed that Carson is a TBM. It's unreal how gullible the exmo crowd is when it comes to this kind of stuff. The exmo community prides itself in the ability to critically analyze situations, but my god, how was this missed?

Agreed... but dang it the show was fun to chat during! It was a hoot watching them and listening to them.

This thread is full of those who felt the show was a spoof. I am not sure why you think it was "missed".

Agreed, some it did miss.

What is most missed is the show itself. I believe the group did receive legit threats from exmos. I don't blame them for stopping. Not worth the harassment.

My Internet is so slow I'm not able to follow the live stream. Kind of frustrating.

TIL NNN has a pornography-themed problem. That’s why he is the way he is. “Release the grip” is the advice given. Over and over. And over.

Also, tricking watchers into clicking porn links is just good, clean fun. No it’s not. Yes it is. No it’s not.
