Sure they’re authentic names.

And they are nearly all included in name dictionaries published in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. One of which was edited by none other than Charles Anthon.

So the Book of Mormon names most closely mirrors the 19th Century? That is an amazing finding.

I skimmed the article quite quickly and got the impression that Book of Mormon names are perfectly consistent with a 19th century American trying to make up names that would sound foreign. Did I miss things?

The authors conclude that their study supports the authenticity of the Book of Mormon because the complexity of their analysis means that the Book of Mormon is complex like real history. I can't be bothered to criticize that as a bad argument because it seems like just a token gesture added to satisfy an editor.
