All Mormons Will fail Celestrial Glory If:
1.They fail to follow the commandments of Jesus Christ to take his name upon them, the reality of this being done is recorded in Acts Chapter One, that being the promise of the Father which IS the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost. All Mormons minimize what counts for the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost. All the way down to a 'good feeling.
2. Partake of the sacrament unworthily. This happens when anyone over the age of eight partakes of the sacrament who has NOT complied with Number One of this list.
3. Defiles the Temple of the Lord. This happens every time anyone attends the temple who has not complied with Number One of this list.
4. Persecute, cast out, lay a snare for, speak evil of, anyone who HAS complied with Number One of this list.
The really bad news is that no leader in the LDS Church from bishop up to Prophet has ever taught anyone how exactly to comply with Number One of this list.

It sounds like the Celestial Kingdom will be a pretty lonely place. The way you make it sound there won't even be enough to make a softball team.

Softball?
I'm not sure there will be enough people for a game of rock-paper-scissors.

I think there will be a whole lot more folks in the Celestial Kingdom than what it takes to make a softball team.
I would be interested, however, in NL's take on the severe limitations that he is apparently making on the number of folks that will qualify for entrance into the Celestial Kingdom.
I don't want to sit around for eternity playing rock/paper/scissors with just a few folks. If I end up there...
Ceeboo, I expect you and I might have a lot of fun playing RPS's if we end up as neighbors down the street?
Let's hope there are a lot of folks to hang out with though. You'd probably get kind of bored hanging out with me real quick.
Regards,
MG

I hope they have a deck of cards in the celestial kingdom. Otherwise, there won't even be solitaire to keep one occupied.

It will have to be Rook cards then, but if you're in the Celestial Kingdom you'll be used to them. Because of course face cards are of the devil and having them in your home would have disqualified you from the highest degree of glory.

I think I was in college before I ever heard that face cards were evil (but then I went to BYU, so of course I heard it). We played cards from very early on and never thought anything of it. I'm still not quite sure where the fear of cards comes from.
As for the OP ...
4. Persecute, cast out, lay a snare for, speak evil of, anyone who HAS complied with Number One of this list.
I don't know anyone and don't expect ever to know anyone who has complied with the first item of NL's list. No one keeps the commandments all the time; that's why there was an Atonement (at least if you hold with basic Christian and LDS doctrine). So, how or why would someone speak ill of someone who doesn't exist?
If someone has received this baptism of fire, good for them. But it is supposed to come in spite of their behavior, not because of it. From where I sit, the one sure way to know someone hasn't experienced this is when they trumpet it around and set themselves above other people. That is the antithesis of what Jesus taught it means to be a disciple.

I don't just fail, I refuse! I'm not following a Jewish cult leader who madly defended the murderous god of the Old Testament and ranted and raved about eating his flesh and drinking his blood! No wonder many no longer walked and follow him after that. Jesus was a crazy lunatic preaching things that are sick and gross.
Nightlion wrote:to take his name upon them
Christ Jesus abandoned the Jewish cult of animal sacrifice and preached the drinking of his own blood and cannibalistic thoughts of eating his flesh. Sick! Taking on oneself his name is joining a cult and partaking of Dark Aged cult practices of eating human flesh and drinking blood.
