This seems to be the only post MG hasn’t responded to.
Disappointing, as it’s probably the best question and discussion point on the thread.
Still *crickets*

Umm...as is par for the course, the usual gang showed up and derailed/spammed/trolled the thread. Would you expect actual conversation that stays on task once that happens? Too much static/noise. Plus, it was off topic from the OP. I saw it as a deflection at the time.

For your information, Clark Goble...a much more intelligent and well read man that I...discussed this issue back here:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=46475&hilit=kjv&start=21

You may want to go back and look at that thread. I think it stayed on task/point without going too far afoul. He had some interesting comments in regards to the issue you raise.

Regards,
MG

I’m sure he does.
But here’s the thing, I’m not asking for “Clark Gobles” thoughts and opinions. I’m enquiring as to yours.

But...he doesn't have thoughts. He has links to the thoughts of others.

Thoughts are not part of the MG package.

It doesn't work that way. It doesn't work at all.

It's just there.

He can't. He didn't read it. That's why he never copies and pastes the relevant section from a link. In fact, I'd be surprised if he made it through your three sentences.

The only thing MG wants is some attention and to keep playing like he's, I dunno, a defender of the faith. He just really sucks at it.

Note to self: Do not open and read a post of Cam's when one has a mouth full of apple unless you are sitting beside Dr. Heimlich who is now dead.

I am aware of that. You didn't mention his name for one thing.

If you want to start another thread and ask for everyone's input in a generic fashion, that might be your best bet. It would be nice if my name wasn't even in the OP. Thing is, I am weary of being the 'go to' guy when there is a question to be asked that has no solid answer. Isn't that stacking the deck and setting one up for a fall? And there are smarter guys than me. Thus the referral to Clark's comments.

It is also kind of out of sync when that question is being asked to deflect from something else being discussed. DocCam did the same thing.

Who knows, IHAQ, you may get some responses from others that may trigger some thoughts on my part too during a community discussion. Or not.

These threads that develop into an 'MG slugfest' are fun for you guys, I'm sure. But I'd rather simply join in on a community discussion if I feel like it. To be made to feel that I'm being forced into something really isn't a very pleasant starting point. It's like being put up in the village stocks and/or being set up as the whipping boy.

Isn't it nice to be in a community where YOU have no worries in that regard?

If I start a thread, I expect to participate until the thread runs its course or is hijacked by the faithful few. Otherwise, I would just as well have the freedom to participate out of choice.

Regards,
MG

And that is an outright lie.

Have you no shame?

Awfully Christian of you. And civil to boot. Not.

How can we...that is, you and me...ever have a civil conversation again if you're throwing this **it around.

You know that you are lying. I express original thought around here AT LEAST as much as you do...if not more. Yes, I do support what I'm posting through links at times. That IS the truth.

You are wearying me, Jersey. Get off your judgmental high horse.

Still avoiding voicing your own opinion. It’s like you don’t have one. Which would be odd when my question relates directly to the opinion you expressed in your opening post on the thread you started.

You seem to be the one deflecting.

Reported to moderator.

Your response does not lend itself to a productive/civil conversation and/or discussion. It does lead us down a road that ultimately leads to a cul-de-sac/dead end where we find ourselves going round and round wasting each other's time. Rather than leading us in an unproductive/uncivil direction, you might want to add substantively to the discussion?
