"More Porn, Less Rape"

Post by _DoubtingThomas »

Prospective trials are more believable than retrospective studies. All the prospective trials show that as porn became more easily available, rates of sexual assault declined. I stand by my original conclusion: More porn, less rape.

That's is strange. In the book The Brain that Changes Itself seems to argue that exposure to regular porn actually causes impotence in sexual relationships.

Sure, there are books that argue Bigfoot is real. There are books that argue the Book of Mormon happened in Mesoamerica. There are stories of how the church saves and improves marriages.

Please read a new psychology today article by someone with a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology. He says, "Despite strident claims that research has proven porn use is harmful to relationships, there is in fact no such evidence. Rather, it's an assertion based on correlational data"
