Free Exercise of Religion and Breaking up Families

Post by _sock puppet »

Has the LDS church yet condemned Donald Trump for his anti-religion stances? Such as wanting to bar certain potential immigrants to this country because their professed religious preference is Muslim? That would be a clear and dangerous threat to religious liberty. But all I hear is crickets chirping. But on the important matters, like whether wedding cake makers have the liberty to refuse to sell their cakes to gay couples getting married, the LDS are very vocal. What poseurs. Being free to refuse to sell cakes versus choose what country you will live in? Priorities. It is clear that the LDS church is all screwed up.

Has the LDS church condemned the presidential nominee that advocates breaking up families, sending back to other countries of origin the parents of American-born children? Those children are American citizens that cannot be legally deported. So where is the LDS church in condemning the wholesale splitting of these families? Or is the LDS church mantra now, 'only some, special families can be forever'? But on the other hand, legions of LDS have voiced their outrage that the federal government wants to require schools throughout this country give bathroom accommodations to LGBT.

The duality of the LDS on these and other issues is profoundly disturbing for self-proclaimed "principled" people.

Potential immigrants aren't protected by the U.S. Constitution.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Compare the U.S. Supreme Court holdings that date back to Wong Wing v. United States, 163 U.S. 228 (1896).
