Oh man, it was painful reading the comments from people who completely missed the point of this ruling and instead ranted about how children only have 1 mother and 1 father, the way God intended.

I'm only a bigot against bigots, evil people, liars, etc.
I'm not bigoted against anyone or anything else simply because they ARE or BELIEVE different than I.
Disagree with them, not believing in what they believe, maybe being even critical of something they do or believe, is not bigotry.
I still can respect them as people, respect their religion, I don't lie about them, I don't degrade them, etc.
Anti-mormons and liberals have been applying bigotry to words and actions of their enemy's that have nothing to do with bigotry, so they can win the gullible and get their power and further their hate.

The judge said that this is an easy case and I think that's exactly right. Many other states have updated their practices on their own without having to be dragged into court kicking and screaming.

Yes. Thanks for admitting it. I am so ashamed of my own Mormon bigotry. It took me ten years being in an interracial marriage before I was able to admit my own cultural bigotry. I hope I've repented and do better now today than I did back then.
