"Terry Lee Black, 41, who lives in the young girl's West Jordan neighborhood and attended church with her family, was charged Tuesday with capital murder, child kidnapping and rape of a child. All are first-degree felonies."

"Six-year-old Sierra Newbold was remembered Saturday by friends and family as a sweet and spunky little girl who loved to draw with pink crayons and flash her big brown eyes at the people she loved.

Funeral services for Newbold were held at an LDS Church in West Jordan near the canal where her body was found Tuesday. Police said she was sexually assaulted and murdered but there was no new information on the case or potential suspects released Saturday."

[MODERATOR NOTE:

Dear The Mighty Builder:

Rule #3 of the Terrestrial Forum reads,

  • Do not use the "F" or "S" words or any of their many variants. Altering the spelling or substituting a symbol for a character does not give you a free pass to disregard this rule.

To that end, if you feel the need to use foul language, please just type the word out normally and let the word-censor do its job.

Thanks in advance.]
