What does this mean?

So, Droopy, I am curious. Do you feel that all NOMs are cultural Mormons only?

Is there a place for NOMs who do, actually have faith, even though there are tenets we disagree with?

I have no clue. I would love some clarification as well.

Let me apologize to all who had trouble reading this. There is a lot of quoted material in it, and somehow, when I cut and pasted it from the Celestial to the Terrestrial, the formatting turned to crap.

I didn't think to look at it, as usually, that's doesn't happen. I've fixed it now, so its now much easier to negotiate.

It's not that I didn't find the subject interesting, per se, but that it was too much all at once. I think a couple of paragraphs for an opening is great, and then clarification along the way as people weigh in.

Droopy, it is obvious you demonize by labeling something as 'secular'. Secular is focused on the temporal. It is the practical, the real. Such are certainly an anathema to religion. You seem to be quite troubled that Dehlin adds a dose of reality to the Mormon experience. 'Secular' might be the bogeyman in sacrament meeting, but we're not in sacrament meeting here at MDB. You likely do not get the traction by describing here something as 'secular' as you would inside the Cult Bubble.
