Feeling lazy. Laying on the bed in my underwear.

Sounds like a fine way to spend the day. Your daughter lives in Texas, right? Is she coming to see you?

We are relaxing today, too. We are having dinner at my mother in law's house. We gave Grandpa his Father's Day present, and brought Grandma some home made jam with plums from our garden.

I got a call just a little while ago. She's working today. Yes, all good things happen right here in Texas!

Been glued to the threads. I'm sure you can understand that. The board got bombed!

Well, first I made my (adult) daughter's breakfast before she went to church; then I made breakfast for my wife & me (my my wife is feeling very tired - CFS); then I made lunch for my daughter, to be ready when she got back from church; then I took my wife to a couple of stores where she window-shopped for jewelery-making supplies.

What day is it again?

Can't complain, though - my DD is in currently the kitchen making enchiladas de pollo verdes, one of my favourite meals.

Thanks, Liz.

I took my kids out early this morning to get them donuts. We have spent a quiet day together, enjoying each other's company. Took my son out to Best Buy to spend my gift cards and let him play the electronic drums in their instrument shop. I cleaned and inflated their wading pool so they could play in it. my wife made me one of my favorite meals. She is very good to me.

LOL! No, but that retina display is gorgeous and I did look at the new iPads. But I already bought my big gift of the year: Native Instruments Maschine.

Today I used my gift cards to buy Apple AppStore gift cards, funny enough. I will use those cards to buy apps for the iPad 2 I already own. Probably music applications for my hobby, which is to try to make ungodly sounds that only crazy nerds like myself find the least bit appealing. Sort of what I do here translated into the realm of sound.

What about those of us who aren't "wonderful" fathers?

Maybe you and your wife need to get busy. Should have no problem adopting, at any rate.

I'm a stepfather. My wife has two kids from her previous marriage.

My sexy wife made crepes for me this morning, met my brothers at a sports bar for lunch and a few beers, now I'm back home watching the NBA Finals and playing games vs. My son on my iPad 2.

Bolted an old vice onto my workbench. Pumped up the kid's balls. Fixed my daughter's bike. Oiled and pumped my wife's bike. Played Diablo III. Had some lunch. Went to tennis lessons. Family and I went to dinner at best friends (it's a Father's Day tradition). Then went to the park by the lake for the evening.

We started a new Sunday tradition: a family walk after breakfast. We found a beaver dam this morning.

We made potatoes and BBQ salmon for dinner and merengue kisses for dessert. Oh, and we found some great books at the library. Altered DD's dress for a school activity tomorrow. :)

Your DD is still in school? We've been out for 2 weeks now though my oldest is in summer school. She surprised my by actually liking it and talking all about it when she gets home.
