Hey Joe, I saw your other posts. So how do you like it so far? I really like it much better here though at 1st the number of threads were a bit overwhelming. Hermanuno and Cooper have posted a few times each as well. Anyhow, enjoy and I'm sure that before long we'll fit right in.

Nate,

This thread is too long.

IF you want to post a poll then do so, on a new thread.

Can't answer for the rest, but at least on the page your question is on I believe you are the only Mormon.
I am Atheist/Agnostic or Secular Humanist which ever you prefer. I really don't put much into titles. In fact, I really may be more of an Agnostic, in that I can somewhat believe there could be a grand creator of all that lives, but that's where it ends for me, if he/she/it has plans for us we'll have to wait and see.
All the other stories are in my mind just that, stories and fairytails created by man.

In the Celestial Forum there already is a long poll going on who is/isn't Mormon and whatnot called "Composition of the Board". Feel free to vote on that poll.

born and raised mo. At the ripe old age of about 15, I decided it was b***s***. I started to see the business side of LDS, Inc. and didn't like it one bit. If I paid a full 10% many things were forgiven. We were a little poor and us kids had to do without too many things while the church got a full tithe regardless of the amount of food in our house. We were blessed. RIGHT!!!

However doing the genealogy, we were mo royalty complete with polygamous relatives. We were really blessed!

Then the other things. Asking me if I masturbated? Leave me alone you old perv!

Same story that has been told by many. When I could break free of the family about 18, I was out and never went back. I am the only black sheep on either side for 2 generations. Wow, did I screw up a good record!

Now, I am nothing. If God exists, he doesn't act very Godlike. IMO.

I appreciate your openness & honesty, Julie, but I can't now consider you an ATHEIST.

hey all, another one has arrived so roll out the cot cause I'll be staying a while. Max, Julie, thanks for the invite and reminder to check out the forum. I haven't read anything yet except this thread but I will say this site looks interesting. I hope I don't get many PMs telling me to f*** off and die like I recieved yesterday from a fellow named Danse. Forums are kind of cool, maybe a bit of a waste of time but I always feel like there is something to learn from anonymous people even if it turns into childish bickering. you still learn something.

now I have to go make sweet love to my ex-mormon wife with the lights on.

Pat Triott ring a bell? Anyway, I am glad he made it over and hoping to see more to come. TT is rather slow at the moment. Worried Man better check it out, he'd enjoy it here. Again thanks for this link brother Porter! Salute ;)

Wow! Welcome to all the new folks. We are pretty laid back here (except Plutarch, but even he grows on ya). Grab a chair and a glass of whatever libation you consider best suits you, and join any of the conversations. We have a fair mix of TBM's, cafeteria Mormons, ex-mos, ex'ed mos, never-mos, and non-mos. We have a few inactives, a few TRH actives, a few scholars, a few wannabe scholars, a few Ph.D.'s, a few high school graduates, a few college students... we have a few of just about every kind of poster imaginable. What we don't have is an out-of-control moderating team (we even tell you who our mods are: Shades, Keene, and Liz). We keep the place swept up (spam bots are relegated to Outer Darkness), the language allowed depends on the forum (Celestial is G rated, Terrestial is PG rated, and Telestial is R rated), and its almost impossible to get banned (we're still awaiting our first ban). We're adults here. We like our conversation lively, our wit funny, and our assertions grounded in reality. If someone asks you for references, you'd better have them or else be prepared to back off from your assertion. We like controversy, we like hard-nosed toe-to-toe partisan discussion, and we like board wars. Some of us have been banned from multiple boards, some of us because we earned it, some of us simply because of who we are. We're glad you're here. Join in and make yourselves at home.

New Book I baught

Post by nateariotti »

I baught a new book at Barnes And Noble called Jesus' Family Tomb or something like that just getting started with it has anyone else read it? It is a Controversial Book like Davinci Code so we will see how it is. No matter what it says in it My Faith will not be shaken. These people are just giving a theory of their Findings.

They aired a special on the story Sunday, but I was working and missed it (shucks darn)! Keep an open mind Nate, I know your trying to keep the faith, but don't block your true feelings out while doing so. by the way, have you had a second date with the girl you mentioned on TT?
